Virulence and indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) biosynthesis ability of Turkish Pseudomonas savastanoi pv. savastanoi isolates and susceptibility of some native olive genotypes

Aim of study: To evaluate the virulence and indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) biosynthesis ability several Turkish P. savastanoi pv. isolates susceptibility some native genotypes to olive knot.
 Area The Aegean, Marmara, Mediterranean Regions Turkey.
 Material methods: 101 isolated bacteria were identified on basis biochemical, PCR for amplification bacterial iaaL gene, pathogenicity tests. was determined in a randomized experimental trial carried out by stem inoculation pot-grown seedlings (cv. ‘Manzanilla’) growing chamber. amounts IAA produced colorimetrically. evaluated 2-yr old plants inoculated with two distinct strains.
 Main results: Tested showed significant differences found be associated their geographical origin. varied from 148.67 0.3 μg mL-1. variation observed. No correlation (R=0.0225) between isolates. Native indicated different levels knot pathogen. genotype tested had complete resistance. However, low susceptible (‘Memecik’, ‘Ayvalık’ ‘Uslu’) identified. Some variable reactions depending isolate used.
 Research highlights: results undergird production within area also locations. Genotypes can used as genitors further breeding studies.
